Kinder Bueno - Chocolate Nuts With a Nutty Twist

Kinder Bueno is an Italian confectionery maker's answer to a "healthy" snack. It resembles a delicious bagel in appearance with a chocolate shell on top. In Italy, buena aperito is considered a healthy treat that contains five grams of fat per serving. The chocolate shell serves as the wrapper and the inside of the shell contains nuts. The chocolate inside is dark rich and gives the snack a nutty flavor.

Buena aperitif can be found in different packaging, the most common being in a re-sealable plastic bag with the name Buena on the front and a symbol resembling a hammer (a reference to its manufacturing area). Each package has a unique production number and date of manufacture. The re-sealable plastic bags have their own unique code number. The other style is a square-shaped candy that has a long edge and is laid flat. The two sides are embossed with the Buena aperito symbol. The flat side of the candy is flat and does not extend past the edges of the package.

Buena aperito, the product name is translated to "hot milk wafers". It's a milk chocolate bar made by Italian confectionery maker Kinder. It's one of their best selling products, especially in Italy. The company says that this product is made from real hazelnut, real milk and real sugar with added flavorings.

I love milk chocolate but being an Italian myself I was not really familiar with this chocolate. I did however find out that the name "kinder bueno" is actually an anagram of the famous cartoon character Bugs Bunny, so maybe this is why I'm confused about what it's actually made from? Anyways the chocolate itself is dark and has a very nice nutty smell, almost like a dark chocolates' smell.

My favorite kinder bueno is a plain square shaped chocolate wafer topped with candies. The dark chocolate inside is smooth and quite oily. I like this kinder bueno best because it's the type of chocolate I'd eat as is rather than eating a piece and then trying to throw the excess chocolate away. This kinder bueno also comes in different sizes, the most common being a quarter of a pound. Another common size is half a pound.

To make this delicious wafer I start off by using a regular-size Hershey's chocolate bar and pouring in about three quarters of a cup of water and mixing until smooth. Then I add about a teaspoon of instant pudding mix and a quarter of a cup of milk. Next I stir in about two tablespoons of white chocolate. Then all I have to do is cut this chocolate bar in half and spread it evenly on a flat baking pan. Bake the chocolate bar for approximately 20 minutes and once done place it on a wire cooling rack.

Another great thing about this kinder bueno is that you can eat it just like a bar. If you would prefer a different texture and flavor then you can substitute the milk for sour cream or yogurt. If you're using the white chocolate version then just simply mix in a little more milk and bake it in the same manner as a regular bar. If you're using the hazelnut version then simply mix in the nuts and cocoa powder until it forms a paste like consistency.

The best part about this kinder bueno recipe is that it is one of those things that will taste goodno matter what you eat. Because of its filling flavor, it goes great on vanilla ice cream, plain chocolate cakes, peanut butter cups, oatmeal cookies, and much more. I highly recommend trying this out. There are only a few simple ingredients that you need to get this delicious chocolate bar into your diet. I hope that you enjoy the delicious milk chocolate taste that is offered by Kinder Bueno.
